Levent Erkan

Chairperson and CEO

Levent Erkan graduated with a BS in Chemical Engineering from METU and completed his master’s degree in Economics at SIUE in the US. Levent has a Management Certification from London Business School, is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and certified Angel Investor.

He worked in the US between 1996 and 2003 delivering change and project management in Illinois, Missouri, Florida and North Carolina before finally taking up a position as Regional Manager on Wall Street, New York, focusing on private clients, financial institutions and investment banks. In 2003, as Managing Partner, he launched DeLeeuw International, making it one of the fastest growing consultancy companies in the sector. The company was acquired by a London Stock Exchange Market Company in 2007. Levent worked as one of the company’s three Global Regional Managers after the acquisition up to 2015 and growing the company’s business in the region 21-fold in just seven years.

He joined Microsoft in 2016 as Deputy General Manager in Turkey and was appointed a member of the Leadership Team for Middle East and Africa operations, focusing on sales, digital transformation of public institutions and diversification. Since 2018, he has been the Chairperson and CEO of WEglobal, based in London, UK, where his focus is the globalisation of the company and its future strategy, having tripled its turnoverover the last four years. He is also the Board Member for Education and Climate Non-Profit Foundations under the company’s social responsibility initiatives. He has completed three marathons: New York, Stockholm and Istanbul.
