“Common Market Organisation Measures” Project has been completed with tremendous success!

The closing event for the “Introduction and Implementation of Common Market Organisation Measures” (CMO project) funded by the European Union Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) 2015 was held on 01.07.2021 in Skopje. The project was implemented in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy by the WEglobal Consortium.

The project started on December 4, 2018, and lasted 31 months. The main goal of the project was to improve the competitiveness of the agricultural sector and strengthen the capacities of the Ministry, the Agricultural Inspectorate and other relevant institutions in the area of ​​regulation of agricultural markets.

Formal addresses were made by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy Arjanit Hoxha and Stephen Hudolin, Head of Cooperation in the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of North Macedonia, followed by a presentation of the entire project by the Team Leader.

The project was considered very successful and contributed to increase marketing opportunities, economic development, and overall productivity in the agricultural sector while improving the agriculture sector’s competitiveness in line with the requirements for EU accession of the country. 

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy thanked the Delegation of the European Union for their continuous support in the reform of the agricultural sector and the project team and experts who enabled the realization of this project.
