Fund Management

Introduction

Successful project management requires the sound management of project finances. Mismanaged finances lead to poor project outcomes.

We provide institutions and organisations with the support they need to manage their finances in line with internationally recognised principles of monitoring and evaluation.

As experienced fund managers we recognise that EU taxpayers’ money has to be seen to be used effectively in a transparent and accountable manner and that the EU’s interests depend crucially on how its funds are disbursed.

We have worked with a large number of CSOs, SMEs and other actors in receipt of EU funds to ensure that their procurement, management and project implementation processes are in order.

OUR KEY EXPERT FOR COMMUNICATION IN TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR JEAN MONNET SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME, MS DIDEM OFLAZ, STATED THAT:

Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme has been implemented since 1990 and supported more than 2000 scholars so far. The Programme aims at increasing the number of experts on the EU Acquis within the framework of Turkey’s accession process to the EU. The Programme has been providing scholarships for academic studies related with EU Acquis Chapters at postgraduate level for periods of min 3, max 12 months, at all universities and similar institutions in all EU member countries and in all EU official languages. The scholarship is an important opportunity to create human resources to contribute to the activities carried out in the process of Turkey’s EU membership, and an important factor that raises awareness on the EU. As one of the Key Experts of this very unique Programme, I strongly advise everyone who believes in themselves and who wants to pursue a Master’s degree in Europe and broaden their knowledge to apply for the Jean Monnet Scholarship Programme.

A Mission Proven and Thoroughly Accomplished

Preparing the Turkish Cypriot community for closer ties with the EU

We are contributing to a long-term initiative preparing the Turkish Cypriot community for closer social and economic ties with the EU, particularly in the fields of rural, human resources and regional development, as well as reconciliation, confidence building and support for civil society. Specifically, we are establishing a Project Management Unit (PMU) to support grant schemes, including drafting guidelines, launching and evaluating schemes, assessing and evaluating grant application, preparing contracts, and monitoring the implementation of ongoing grants, including the ex-post monitoring of completed schemes. Our work includes needs assessments and resulting training and capacity building programmes for potential applicants and other relevant stakeholders.
