Furthermore, these relationships do not recognise any national or continental boundaries. Despite the vital importance of the environment for humanity, environmental degradation and climate change have been threatening the world for many years. As the negative impacts are approaching the point of no return, actions for preserving the environment need to be taken immediately.
Protecting natural resources is not only a concern of the environment and human health but also an economic one. With the global economy aiming to become more circular with the EU paving the way, protecting the scarce natural resources become more important day by day.
Energy efficiency brings numerous environmental benefits. It is a notable factor in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, concerning both direct emissions from fossil fuel utilisation in the form of consumption or combustion, and indirect emissions from electricity generation. With the fact that global energy demand is forecast to increase 19% by 2040 with the demand mainly originating from emerging markets and developing economies, energy efficiency is among the key actions. Globally, countries are getting even more engaged in efforts committing to reduce emissions in line with international agreements, making improvements in energy efficiency and increasing the share of renewable energy.
In parallel with the global developments and arising needs, we put environmental protection at the core of everything we do and we adopt a multi-stakeholder and inclusive approach. We aim to help businesses and government decision-makers understand and reduce the negative impact of growth. We guide and assist them in policy-making and capacity building.
