Introduction

Access to good quality education is crucial to social and economic development. Education standards, policies and curricula, as well teachers, have to keep pace with the advances in technology that are rapidly transforming this sector.

We are working with public and private institutions, civil society and social partners in the developing world to develop holistic approaches to both formal and informal education and throughout the education cycle, from the nursery through to higher and vocational education and training. This means not only increasing the access to education of diverse target groups, but also increasing the capacity of education providers.

A Mission Proven and Thoroughly Accomplished

Improving (LLL) for all citizens and groups in Turkey

Working with the Ministry of Education, we designed, developed and promoted a number of strategies in line with EU best practices to support individuals’ access to education at all ages and thereby increase employment opportunities. We raised the awareness and built the capacity of a large range of stakeholders involved in the education sector, from government officials, through education providers to those who would benefit from increased LLL, including the unemployed, the low skilled and the vulnerable.
