Bringing agriculture in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in line with EU requirements

WEglobal is helping the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) prepare for EU accession by bringing the country’s laws relating to agriculture and rural development into line with European Union legislation.

The technical assistance project awarded to WEglobal deals mainly with the Common Market Organisation (CMO), which is a set of measures that allows the EU to monitor and manage agricultural products markets, either directly or indirectly, through producer organisations.

We will be carrying out in-depth analyses and assessments of agricultural sub-sectors in FYROM to develop a set of CMO policy recommendations and actions, build the knowledge and skills of stakeholders involved in their implementation, improve the sector’s overall economic performance and competitiveness and increase the marketing opportunities open to the country’s agricultural products.
