Labour Market Support Programme for Young People Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET PRO) has launched on the 9th of June in Ankara.
NEET PRO Project aims to increase employability and labor force participation of young people not in employment, education or training (NEETs) by comprehensive active labor market measures including vocational training, on-the-job training and generic training, supporting active job search process, awareness-raising activities to reach young people etc.
The General Director of the Turkish Employment Agency Oğuz Kaan Güldoğan, Head of Economic and Social Development Department of of the European Union Delegation to Turkey Angel Hidalgo Gutierrez, Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security Prof. Dr. Lutfihak Alpkan and Head of EU and Financial Assistance Department, Ministry of Labor and Social Security Süreyya Erkan made opening speeches of the event.
Alpkan expressed that they hope the project will contribute to the National Youth Employment Action Plan and that the project of İŞKUR will be beneficial.
After the opening speeches, NEET PRO promotional videos and social media accounts were shared on the screen to create a friendly environment. The participants followed the NEET PRO Project’s social media accounts by reading the QR codes projected on the screen.
