Supporting Serbia’s education sector as the country moves closer to EU membership

WEglobal has been awarded a major project in Serbia aimed at ensuring timely, efficient and effective reforms in the education sector as part of the country’s preparations for EU accession negotiations under the Instrument for Pre-Accession.

We will be working with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, the Institute for Development of Education, the Institute for Evaluation of the Quality of Education, and National Councils in charge of education to implement education-related reforms under the county’s Sector Reform Performance Contract (SRPC) programme.

Specifically, we will be:

  • reviewing and revising (by 2020) Serbia’s National Education Development Strategy and associated Action Plan;
  • improving and developing the sector’s monitoring and evaluation frameworks, including the collection of  statistical and other data, and development of better indicators for performance analysis and management;
  • establishing a coordination framework for the sector, and getting it approved and implemented.

We will also be helping to improve visibility and communication in the education sector, ensuring that dialogue and messaging within and among the various educational institutions, stakeholders and the broader audience are clear, coherent and positive.
