We are pleased to announce that we have been selected to contribute to measures designed to protect Turkey’s eastern borders.
Under the project Technical Assistance for Increasing Border Surveillance Capacity at Turkey’s Eastern Borders Phase I, we will be working with Turkey’s Department of Border Management and Land Forces Command to help prevent illegal migration, human trafficking, cross-border crimes, and smuggling.
We will be providing capacity building to ensure that future development of border management standards is in line with the EU’s information management policies and strategies and organizing training to improve the capacity of border surveillance staff to apprehend irregular migrants/smugglers and deliver them to the relevant authorities.
