We are pleased to announce that we have been selected to help Georgia move closer to the EU, particularly in terms of trade.
We have been awarded the Facility for the implementation of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement- II project, the aim of which is to strengthen the capacity of public institutions in Georgia to meet the country’s commitments under the EU-Georgia Association Agreement (AA), including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area.
We will be helping to coordinate, monitor and report on actions related to the AA and to raise awareness of the benefits of the agreement and the free trade area for Georgian citizens, as well as working with Georgia’s civil servants to assist them implement the required legal and institutional reforms and coordinate the EU’s support to the country.
We are very pleased to be adding this project to another assignment we are already working on in Georgia, namely the Support to the Development of Penitentiary and Probation Systems in Georgia project. We look forward to working alongside our Georgian colleagues for many years to come.
