The closing event of IklimIN arouses great interest

The closing event of the IklimIN project was held in Ankara with over 450 participants including representatives of public institutions, local governments, universities, private sector, non-governmental organizations and international organizations on 5 February 2020.

The consortium led by WEglobal implemented “Enhancing Required Joint Efforts on Climate Action Project”, which was co-financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey.

Technical assistance was provided on capacity building through an extensive training programme to support the Ministry of Environment, and for a better response to global climate issues, and achieving international reliability. The goal of the IklimIN project was to increase public understanding, to enhance stakeholder capacity and to foster the joint efforts in mitigating climate change in Turkey, gradually aligning with the EU climate policy and legislation.

Climate change is an issue that can generate great concern and cause people who know about it, become aware of it, or gain an understanding of it, to despair. With this conscious, as a responsible corporate citizen about the effects of global climate change, we will continue to boost the awareness of climate change throughout our business processes as well as the project implementations.
